I have always wanted to eat a meal at Boma in the Animal Kingdom lodge. Every trip we plan on doing it, and every trip I get outvoted by my kids. In May, we were finally going to go there for lunch, and when we arrived at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we found it wasn’t open until dinner. We were hungry, and decided to go to Mara, the Animal Kingdom food court for lunch instead. I was very pleased to find that some of the African themed food items I wanted to try were available in the food court.
I had a wonderful bowl of soup, it was a slightly sweet butternut squash with curry and I was able to try the Zebra Domes, which the dessert the full service restaurant is known for. They also offered an African Stew that looked really good. They definitely have regular food court fare, but also offer a few of the more unusual items that you might expect in the African themed hotel. I’m still hoping to try the full service Boma on our next trip!
