Flesor's Candy Kitchen

Flesor’s Candy Kitchen 1/12/2007

Flesor's Candy Kitchen is located in Tuscola, Illinois. It is a soda fountain and candy business that originally was opened by Gus Flesor in 1901 and was open until the 70's when the family decided not to continue the business. Three years ago, Flesor's granddaughters Ann and Devon saw that the building was for sale, and they knew what they had to do. The rest is history. They were able to get most of the equipment and fixtures that had been stored in a warehouse. They use Gus' old recipes to hand-dip the chocolates, and still serve ice cream and Gusburgers. My husband and I went on a date here in the 70's, and on Sunday we were back. The chocolates are still perfection. My husband went to school with one of the Flesor sisters, and so we got a chance to actually watch the chocolates being hand-dipped in the immaculate kitchen. It is like a trip back in time! They will ship their candy, so I'll post the link. more
