The Brownstone Café in Middletown is a great place for some home style cooking. The building is a renovated bank, complete with bank vault and original touches. The food is really good, especially the crab soup! It tends to get very crowded, so be prepared to come early or stand in line. Their breakfasts are excellent as well. They have a second floor that you can reserve for a private party and they offer a banquet menu.
