Very disappointed in service 3/12/2007

Before actually placing a custom tile order at Pratt & Larson in Bellevue, I had always had a very positive feeling about the company. The Bellevue showroom is beautiful, the tile selection is incredible and the brand name has a very good reputation. I visit the Seattle Street of Dreams every year and the tile from Pratt & Larson that is installed in the homes is always beautiful. At the 2006 Street of Dreams, I saw a tile from Pratt & Larson that I just had to have for my kitchen backsplash. I ordered the tile on December 6, 2006 and paid in full with my Visa card which was charged that day. I was told the tile would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks, but based on past experience, it would be more like 4 weeks. At the 6 week mark, I called to see where the tile was at. I was told that the order wasn't placed and that it would be placed immediately and it would arrive in 4 weeks. 4 weeks later I called to find out that the order had only been placed a week earlier. At that point, I am told the worst case would be 6 weeks and that would be last Friday. I still haven't heard anything. At this point, I have contacted the Pratt & Larson corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon. From my conversation with one of their employees, it sounds like my situation with the Bellevue store sounds familiar to her. She did tell me that the Bellevue store was sold in 1999 and that it only had the Pratt & Larson name and was in no way affiliated with the corporate company. At this point I am waiting for Mr Larson from the corporate offices in Portland to call me back with advice on dealing with the Bellevue store. I will update my story later. more
