I've spent a lot of time in Atlantic Coast Conference schools (Wake Forest and Duke), so I know good basketball. The Storm are the real deal. For an absurdly cheap $10, take a seat in the upper deck of Key Arena and watch the women of the WNBA play their hearts out. Sue Bird is a true leader and Lauren Jackson is a Valkyrie. The quality of play varies some from night to night, but they always play with the kind of heart you rarely see in the NBA.
The crowd is tremendously fun -- lots of women and lots and lots of kids. They're all thrilled to be there, and you should be too. It's especially fun to catch a playoff at the end of the season, in early fall.
