Fred Meyer, a local chain with stores throughout the northwest, sells everything from salmon to makeup. These stores often have great sales on fresh produce and constant coupons on items for the home. The one complaint I have about Fred Meyer is that sometimes the seafood and produce here do not look like something that I want to buy. This only happens occasionally though and it seems to happen most often in the South King County locations. Otherwise this is a great place to shop for a student or anyone else on a budget. As an added bonus when you enter the store you know you are not aiding and abetting a corporation who does not care about the rights of its employees.
