I can't believe I'm the first person giving a review on this! LOL You are all missing out on some great food if you haven't been to Eagle Restaurant. I lived less than a mile from this restaurant for until a few years ago and I can’t count the number of times I have been there. Now I absolutely LOVE gyros (properly pronounced yeeros with a roll of the r) and I had them at many different places but Eagle has hands down the best gyros I’ve ever tasted. I normally get a platter that has all the fixings with your gyro with some fries and I just have to order whatever the homemade soup of the day is, it’s excellent also. Gyros aren’t the only food Eagle has, they have all the typical, yet not any less delicious, Chicago fanfare like hot dogs, polish sausage and Italian beef. I was visiting my dad for a few days a couple weeks ago and got lunch there and my hubby was blown away by their beef and sausage sandwich. It hasn’t changed one bit. The restaurant has been owned by the same Greek family for years. I heard the father retired and handed the business down to his son. He sure seems to keep up with the tasty traditions.
