A sit down restaurant for ball park food 10/5/2006

While spending a few days in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, my husband and I decided to catch a Texas Rangers game. When visiting the tourist info booth, the ladies there told us about Rawling’s – a restaurant that is right inside the baseball stadium. We thought that was a neat concept and we decided to check it out. We had tickets to the game, so we were able to get in that way, but my understanding is that you can get in the restaurant even if you don’t have a ticket to the game. We were expecting a variety of bar type food – like burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, etc. We were disappointed to see the menu when all it had were items you could get in any stadium vendor booth. We settled for splitting some nachos and loaded French fries. The food was good – but I was hoping for something more. We did each order a soda and were able to get a refill and take that into the stadium with us. We arrived about 1 hour before the game and all the tables with a direct view of the field were filled. I see on their website now that reservations are recommended for game days. more
