Great School in a Great Town 8/15/2005

The University of Louisville is an excellent place to attend college! I spent several wonderful years there before transferring to a smaller college closer to my family, thus I can easily compare UofL to smaller schools. The instructors at UofL are top-notch. Most classes have very lively discussions and professors tend to encourage class participation instead of straight lectures. I had very few giant lecture classes, despite what many people fear when thinking of attending a large college. In fact, very few of my classes included more than 20 or 30 people and many were much smaller. This was a better ratio than I even had in high school. Campus life was a little on the dull side unless you lived in a dorm or belonged to a fraternity or sorority. I would personally recommend living in a dorm for at least a year or two to get the full college experience. They are pretty nice as far as dorms go, and you’ll never again meet such a wide array of people. more
