I don't have any children and I'm writing this in response to Kris's review contest on everything kids, so this may be my only post on the subject -- or at least for her contest.
At any rate, I was at the mall this afternoon and was with my friend who left her one-year-old at home with Daddy. We strolled the mall, spent way too much money, and ended up in Janie and Jack. She wanted to show me something....I ended up purchasing!
They have the cutest clothes for baby and toddler. This store may not be for everyone -- actually I guarantee that -- but it is good quality stuff. They are owned by Gymboree. The clothes at Janie and Jack however are more classic. Think Little House on the Prairie; it's very soft muted colours unlike their parent where they have bold colours.
It's on the pricey side, but off the sale rack I picked up a pair of comfy looking pants and a pair of espadrilles for my niece for about $20. (Nothing for her younger brother though....shhh)
What really impressed me? The cashier asked if it was a gift and gift wrapped it for me. She even put the gift receipt in the box too -- and I didn't have to ask for that either. (I usually forget!) Cute box tied with a grosgrain ribbon affixed by a logo sticker. Their shopping bags are so cute that I don't even have to take it out to present it.
This location I went to was at the Gardens Mall -- it's located in the new expansion area by Nordstrom's.
