I recently went to The Cottage for the first time a couple weeks ago thanks to a GC a purchased on SouthFloridaDines.com ( http://www.judysbook.com/members/11971/posts/2006/9/461938/ ).
My fiance, my mom and I went on a Friday night. It was a nice night so we opted to eat outside. They have a great outdoor seating area that includes a bar and a tented area in the back (I think it was closed to a private party that night). I thought it was really cool that they were showing "Annie" on the wall behind the bar via a projection TV. Not that I had a good view; I didn't know they had that before I sat down so my back was to it. :(
The food was really good, although I think it's more of a place to hang out for drinks and a light meal. We all left like we could have eaten more. But then again, we all were really hungry -- it was close to 8pm. My fiance had the mahi mahi with mango sauce and my mom and I both had the adult happy meal. Apparently they have a new happy meal daily (or maybe it's weekly). That night it was the spinach pesto spiral pasta -- SOOOOO yummy! To round out the happy meal it included one of their signature drinks (usually $6) -- also tasty and a shot glass of rice pudding for dessert. It only cost $10. I also ordered a Caesar salad (and again, I wish the portion was bigger) which was good -- nice crisp lettuce leaves and they had the most amazing croutons! I don't like croutons but I think these were made from breaded cheese or something. Yuh-Mee!
Great place for a girls night out or even a romantic night out. My mom liked it so much she offered to baby-sit my sister's kids so she and her husband can enjoy the restaurant.
