I had an absolutely outstanding experience during my extended stay in Killeen. I stayed at the Candlewood for 5 weeks while on business and had an overall very enjoyable experience. The rates are very competitive for the area to include the on post locations. The amenities are great because you are not only afforded the amenities at the Candlewood but also the Holiday Inn right across the parking lot. Amenities include: free laundry, small fitness room at both locations, pool, hot tub, outdoor gas grills (which could be cleaned by the staff a little more often, but they do a good job keeping up with the propane ) a bar (with NFL Sunday ticket), a restaurant and fresh baked cookies in the holiday inn lobby. But what really made the stay so enjoyable was the staff. First Mrs. Myrna, the server/cook for the breakfast service, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She goes out of her way to ensure the area is clean comfortable and will do pretty much anything to make your breakfast experience perfect, including made to order eggs. She is the kind of hotel staff member that makes guest love the experience. A few more outstanding staff members I encountered during my stay was Rea at the holiday inn, Latina, Amber and Stephanie at Candlewood. The general manager i believe his name is Carlos was also very professional. All of these young women were very pleasant, very professional and made day to day interaction fun and enjoyable.
