Lakeside Terrance apartments are the worst apartments that I ever lived in. When we moved in the tile was yellow and the carpet was dirty. We complained and asked for those issues to be resolved. The tile was replaced but the carpet wasn't cleaned. We ended up cleaning it ourself. Every month it seemed like something was wrong. The dryer took 2-3 cylcles to dry our clothes. The washing machine was extremely loud and also took a long time to be repaired. The windows were very drafty. The brick step in front of the door was coming apart. I actually fell off it (when I was expecting) before it was fixed and it still took a long time after the complaint of falling. The apartments had so many spiders, I'm not kidding. I complained about that. I'm not sure if the apartments were infested with spiders but that was another complaint that went without being answered. There was a hole around the shower head in the main bathroom that just fell apart with no logical explaination. The maintence guy was very rude that I didn't feel comfortable by myself when he repaired things. Upon lease signing we were then notified of paying a garbage fee and a water bill. We were told that the water bill would be $30 per month which it was only a few times. The water bill was around $47 dollars and wasn't based upon each resident usage (residents split the entire bill, so if your usage is $20 a month you would still have to pay $47). Water bill is really the land lord's responsibility. I could go on and on about this apartment. The most important thing to do if you choose to live there is to take pictures immediately of everything and document everything including repairs. I was charged 3 years for the carpet costing me $391.00. I failed to turn in my check list because it was beyond 7 days however, the complaint of the dirty carpet was on file and the manger gave me $50 toward the cleaning fee. Wow she acknowledged that the carpet was dirty by giving me a cleaning fee but still charged me to replace the carpet. It's unfortunate that these apartments are taking advantage of people and not being honest. Lakeside terrace is not a good place to live unless you don't mind all the inconveniences. more
