The day always comes we we, or a loved one, has to be taken to the emergency room. A couple of days ago, I had to take my elderly mother to one of them after she fell and hit her head--on the forehead--in the same spot she fell and hit it two other times in the past 3 months. In Manhattan, in an ambulatory case, meaning a walk-in, you have a choice of several high quality hospitals. So, how do you choose? Well, one way to choose an emergency room is, do you want one with a doctor? Or no doctor? Me, I prefer WITH A DOCTOR!
