Moved from Boston and was looking for a doctors office like I had up north. Thought this was going to be the perfect fit. Well guess again, you wait at least an hour if not more before being brought in to a room, then you wait another 30 minutes or so in the room for the doctor to come in. Well last week was the final straw, called my doc for a refill on my new script and was told I needed to come to the office to pick up the script and fill out some form (new state law for this script as of Jan 1st). Went to the office as advised, and then told I needed to be seen before they could write the script. The women told me I would just need to come to the back and stand at the counter while they filled out some form I was not in a room or anything else just stood at a counter. The staff person printed a form out of the computer, got the script written and signed from the doc and brought me over to check out after she scanned the script into the computer. I looked at the lady and said ""so am I all set"" she said yes just need to collect your $25 co-pay. I said why are you collecting my co-pay I did not see anyone today just got a script. She states this is considered being seen in there office. When I refused to pay the co-pay, the check out lady brought me to the business office to talk to the women there. While talking with her she said I owe the co-pay because this is considered an office visit. I was like um, no its not, I did not see anyone but a staff member to get my script and I will not pay a co-pay for that and feel that is insurance fraud if you bill them. She looks at me and says, anytime you come in the office its considered a visit. I said you have to be kidding me, and the women says to me, sounds like you don't need us anymore and let us know were to send your medical records. I was shocked by her response, I guess she needs a lesson in customer service because she has poor skills dealing with patients. So glad to be leaving them and find a doc that cares about there patients not just making money and ripping off there patients. more
