My fionce and I recived a phone call staiting we had won a cruise that was absolutely free, all inclusive. I was always told if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Well, that stands for this situation. My fionce has said when he recived that call they didnt tell him the name of the place he was going (after reading these reviews I can see why) just gave an address. So being optimistic we traveled an hour distance to Smart Travel. Upon arrival the ""Director of First Impressions"" at the front desk hands us papers to fill out and really acted like he hated his job. So much for first impressions. After sitting waiting for 30-45 minutes reading reviews on our phones we realized what we were going to be getting into. I suggested leaving, which clearly didnt happen. Finally after waiting we were all called back into a conference room. Someone Stood upfront and gave a presentation on why we should purchase there 30 weeks of vacations. Never mentioning the price of those 30 weeks. They gave every reason in the world why we should go with them and this ""bulk"" vacation deal. I wasnt thrilled. After that we get stuck with a salesman. I listened very closely to every story and every ""buy this now"" line he had. I could tell he was totally despirate to sell us this package. After he told me it was 15,000$$ I was totally offened. Especially after he decided to tell me to just ""slap it on a credit card"" (exact words of his) I sat back in my chair and said "" I would like to know who in this economy has an extra 15,000$ to blow like that"" He had a solution of course, which was... payment installments. Almost 400$ monthly. I said NO, once again. Due to the fact I didnt want there what seemed like a scam and I dont even get 30 wks of time off from my job a year. I dont know anyone that does. We went back and forth for a few then what really got me. This salesman actually had the nerve to bring up how his mother died at a young age, and what are people going to say about us when we die?? My comment back?? "" I dont really care, I'm dead at that point. Hopefully they say she didnt fall for stupid scams and I have never heard anyone at a funeral say oh they traveled here there any everywhere."" I know that sounds mean but I was tired of listening to his salespitches that clearly werent working. I then asked him what would happen if I purchased this package today and they went out of business tomorrow? His response... ""Were protected with FDIC"" I said really?? he came back saying well kind of. Think of it like a bank. If a bank with house loans out goes out of business you dont loose your house. I said, ""totally different."" he said, ""well someone would buy it b/c they would get free clientel."" I said, ""No, they have to buy the clientel and if you guys go out of business, why would they think there going to get any, or do any better."" After this he said well let me get my boss. So this guy comes over and says I'll cut you a deal. I thought oh here we go. He was going to give us the whole deal for 4,000. I said NOOO! I dont have the extra money Im not sure what part of that you dont understand. So apparently after making him mad they finally sent us on our way, to yet another waiting area. This girl comes out and rudely explains our ""free trip"" and how to register. After getting in the car I was reading the fine print on these vacation deals. If you havent, make sure you do. We thought the safest thing to do was the one night at Great Wolf Lodge seeing as its close to home. But you can only use it Mon-Wed, and no holidays. Go figure. \r
