Response to 2009 Review 4/2/2012

FROM THE FIRM: Let's separate out fact versus fiction. In 2009, Kristi Motley, of Nace & Motley, L.L.P., was retained by the individual who posted on this site as ""The Truth About Them."" Specifically, Kristi Motley was retained to handle a Will contest, which few lawyers handle, and even fewer succeed. Brad Nace did not represent this individual and did not work on her case. It was therefore unfair for her to state ""Avoid this Firm at all costs!,"" given she has absolutely no basis for implicating Brad Nace in her review. In this case, the Will was overturned by and through Ms. Motley's efforts. Of further note, all work from an objective standpoint for which Kristi Motley was retained was accomplished in this individual's favor. Despite that, this individual made numerous demands that vastly exceeded the scope, and fees paid, for which Ms. Motley was retained. This Firm declined to exceed the scope for which it was retained as this individual made it clear she was not going pay any additional fees for such work. Consequently, this individual made numerous threats, including to file a grievance and to take her matter public, which not surprisingly resulted in what you are reading here and on one other site. Obviously this ""The Truth About Them"" individual was bent on slandering this Firm to the best of her limited ability as she posted not once, but twice, on the internet under different names on two separate occasions - 12/20/2009 and again on 1/2/2010. Assuming for a moment that she in fact had a bona fide complaint, which she did not, her proper redress would be with the State Bar of Texas. The fact of the matter is she had no bona fide complaint, in either fact or fiction. OF NOTE: THE STATE BAR OF TEXAS SUMMARILY DISMISSED THIS INDIVIDUAL?S COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS FIRM AND MS. MOTLEY AS HAVING NO BASIS OR MERIT. Notably in a collective 28 years of practice, no other complaint has ever been filed against Nace & Motley, L.L.P., Brad Nace and/or Kristi Motley. Additionally, no other negative information exists on the net about the Firm or its partners. Just as she has a constitutional right to freedom of speech, so do we. Our Firm is retained based on its reputation and on the reputation of its partners. Our clients are referred from some of the most powerful and most prominent law firms throughout Texas; from former clients who but for positive experiences and results would not otherwise refer; and from countless other sources who note and recognize this Firm's strengths and dedication to each client. This Firm works aggressively within the confines of the law, rules, procedure, evidence and ethics. Our reputation proves that with Brad Nace being named one of the ?Top 10 Best Family Law? attorneys in Dallas (D Magazine) and with Kristi Motley being named one of the ?Rising Stars? in Texas (Texas Monthly Magazine). In 1998, Brad Nace graduated Baylor University School of Law, which is routinely rated as having one of the top 10 be more
