Pleasant place but a disturbing past. 3/20/2012

I attended a wedding reception at this place a couple of months ago. It's almost easy to miss the drive way as you come down Kelly Ln. I guess at one time it was the only big venue out in the country side / farm land of Pflugerville but now it's surrounded by suburban sprawl and subdivision homes. The drive way to the main house is country road. The building is elegant with well manicured landscape surrounding the home. This IS actually someone's home. It is the home of the owners Luanna and Norris Cole. I believe it was Luanna who was actually on site during the event (woman with red hair) to make sure nothing went wrong which I thought was a nice touch, she helped the limo driver navigate the tough turn around in the small circular driveway that really isn't designed for limos especially during the wedding drive away. The thing that disturbed me was the story about the family that lives there. One of the other guests was telling me some horrible stuff which I just couldn't believe until he told me to google NORRIS COLE PLANTATION HOUSE DOG KILLER on my android. I'm a huge animal and especially dog lover and I was a little disturbed about who we were supporting by using that place. Because of that I really couldn't give it more than 2 stars. Just thinking about it now makes me angry. more
