My dad passed away at Chapman Hospital. They said I only had minutes to decide where my father would go. They said they used a funeral Home nearby. ""Ferrara Colonial Mortuary"". My dad wanted cremation so I did a web search. Price is an issue. I found a couple of local places that were cheap. I called ""Orange County Cremation"" and a man gave me a quote that was good. I called then called ""Funeral and Cremation Service of Orange County"" and the man said to me "" I just spoke to you"". I thought I mis-dialed and then realized I didn't. The place had 2 names and 2 numbers. I hung up and thought about it and decided to go with the local funeral home . I called Ferrara Mortuary, and guess what. THE SAME GUY FROM THE OTHER TWO PLACES ANSWERED THE PHONE! W.T.F.! He didn't recognize me this time and gave me a totally different price! Is this legal? Do they have a local monopoly? No way would I use these guys. I called another place and the woman said she used to work there and that they had a bunch of different names and web sites. I asked if it was legal and she said she didn't know, but that the place is in flux with a lot of personnel changes. No way would I recommend them.
