Cauley Square has a very old feel. The shops and scenery are very comfortable, and the resident cats and raccoons are very fun to watch. The shopping and food are pretty good, though only a few of the shops are worth visiting. Some might find all the animals overwhelming, but from what I've noticed, everyone loves them.
The general area is very beautiful, which is odd considering the poor area that surrounds it. I was pleasantly surprised, and I will surely return. Some shops worth mentioning are an antique shop called 'Whittington's Cat', a fun old fashioned toy/candy shop behind it, a fun little fish store, and some numerous fortune tellers and psychics if you are feeling adventurous. I enjoyed my trip to Cauley Square, and I'm sure many others will.
