They WIll Lose Your Clothes 7/9/2011

LONG STORY SHORT I went to the Mason Road location. They are cheap but disorganized and will lose your stuff. Generally your favorite stuff, and they are too lazy and unorganized to find it. FULL STORY Cache cleaners is cheap and about 70% of the time I bet they do actually wash the clothes rather than just pressing it. However, in three months they lost three items of mine. The first was my sons dress shirt for formal events. They pointed out they lost something because the total of “items” was short one and then asked me to look through my stuff to see what was missing. I generally don’t inventory my clothes before dropping off, so I had no idea. A week later, getting ready for church, I could find my son’s shirt, figured it must be the missing piece, and went back. A week later it turned up. I should have known to take my business elsewhere at that point. A month later two of my shirts came up missing. Club Monaco shirts that retail for $100 that I got on Ebay for MUCH less. They were awesome. WERE. So they come up missing (I figured this out after re-inventorying my wardrobe) and I let them know. A week later I went back. Nothing. Nobody seemed to know the story. Nobody. So I went home and printed out the images / sales transaction sheets with pictures from Ebay. I was told they would follow up. They didn’t I went back in a week, nobody knew about the missing items or the Ebay pictures. I spoke with the owner, wrote down what they were (AGAIN), gave him my phone number, and he assured me he’d follow up. Three weeks. Nothing. I went back today and they had nothing. I asked for the owner and he wouldn’t even look me in the eye. He brought out a shirt that wasn’t even close. I asked him if he had the paper with the description and my phone. He said no I asked why he didn’t just call and give me an update. He mumbled. I asked why he didn’t follow-through. I explained that people lose things and that is forgivable, but not making an attempt to rectify is not good business. He mumbled and tried to make excuses. I then told him he was lazy, ineffectual, and that he should “grow the %^%$ up and be an accountable man who follows through on things he says he’s going to do” He offered to refund my cleaning cost. I told him I’d rather write this and that it wouldn’t have come to this if he had just been a stand up guy. Refund or no refund, be a man. So, the lesson here is. Fatty Mumbles the owner of Cache Cleaners has the organization skills and business acumen of a one-celled organism. I suggest you try MW cleaners, where even at 2X the cost, you won’t lose your favorite clothes. more
