HELL YA! Finally a biker friendly tavern close to home! I've gone into the firehouse probably 20 times give or take a few over the last year, mostly saturday afternoons. it's a cool place, the tap beer is always nice and cold! and there now serving food, I tried the bacon cheese burger. DAM GOOD!!\r
\r
Sadly though this place has a couple problems that are hard on me as a customer! 1st, depending on who's working the service can be SLOOOOOW!!! they don't even have that be busy for there service to be slow.\r
\r
2nd, the price on draw beers seems to fluctuate with who the server is? I've paid anywhere between $1.50-$3.50 for a rolling rock draw? \r
\r
about a month ago I came in on a saturday afternoon (it's mostly always a saturday afternoon for me) and paid $2.50+tip for my r.r draw, then last saturday I paid $2.00+tip? as I'm taking my first sip of my newly purchased ice cold draw it suddenly hits me like a BIG RED TRUCK! DRAWS $1.50\r
\r
So when I step back inside to get another, I ask the gal working, whom is different from the gal who'd served me earlier, about the price and was told ""yep, draws have always been a $1.50"" I said nothing!\r
\r
So I go in yesterday afternoon (6-18-11) after a nice long ride, and the same gal who had charged me $2.00+tip the week before was working again, to make a long story short I paid $2.00 for my r.r draw??? I ask the gal about the $1.50 draws and she said that the $1.50 draws were the bud products only?? once again I said nothing!\r
\r
At that point, being that I didn't know if I was being overcharged by the server or not (charging extra to insure a tip) I chose not to leave her one!\r
\r
I don't know if this is happing to everyone or if it's only happing to me? but either way it sucks for me because other then the slow and sometimes NO service and the ""weird"" beer pricing, it's a great tavern! LOL!!!\r
