I met a few friends here on yesterday for a book club meeting. None of us had ever been here, but wanted to try something new. MISTAKE! We should have stuck with our original plan....Copelands!
The food was undercooked and severely overpriced. I tried the shrimp Jambalaya. It was crunchy (undercooked rice), bland, and had exactly two and one fourth shrimp in it. Not to mention, the shrimp were the tiny salad shrimp. I simply ate the sausage and left the rest of the crunchy rice on the plate. To be honest, I was certain that the Jambalaya was Zatarain's. Actually, Zatarain's is a little better as it actually has more flavor. Their Jambalaya is more appropriate for a fast food restaurant such as Popeyes. Not a restaurant which claims that they specialize in New Orleans cuisine. I also requested bread. It was not good either and was cold. I didn't get sick (thank God..as mentioned in other reviews), but the experience left much to be desired. The live music was acceptable and the restaurant itself was decorative and looked nice. However, the food is extremely overpriced for the quality.
