The Beacon Theater? Not in my opinion. I see at least 2 theatrical or music events per month and can say that this is not an experience that I would pay for again. Made a late decision to purchase tickets to the Stephanie Mills / Whispers double bill on Mother's Day. Only upper balcony seat available by then - but guess what? Those tickets should be free. Another reviewer categorized them as the employee nosebleed seats. You can hear but can hardly see. God forbid there's an emergency. I'm all for refreshments being allowed in the venue, but perhaps only in stadiums. The floor was a sticky, stinking mess and it took a full 35 minutes to get off the balcony down the stairs to exit the building. Getting in, getting seated, getting out was a disaster. The theater should be closed for inadequate access and egress. And while that construction is taking place, send the manager to a crash course in public facilities management and events planning, and retrain and restaff the entire crew.
