Great Living 5/26/2011

I have lived at Apex for nearly a year and have enjoyed the location, increased security since we moved in, and the amenities. Staff is great, friendly, helpful, and generally try to address concerns. I don't feel like they simply brush people off because they don't care. I've always genuinely felt my concerns were considered. And I understand that sometimes their hand are tied. Maintenance has always been fast, and when I did have an issue with the times they were entering it was addressed in a respectful way. Not to mention they are SUPER nice guys. One guy didn't hesitate to come on his day off to get my AC back on and saved us from a sweltering night. I understand a lot of peoples noise complaints. I live on a top floor and would not suggest living anywhere else. Neighbors can be a problem but consider this when choosing an apartment, they have many options, and you can live in peace. I did call in one noise complaint (I don't really like being that person) late at night which was promptly taken care of and I got a call the next day to confirm my satisfaction. I don't love everything but after living in many other complexes with rude staff and poor upkeep I appreciate Apex's efforts. Lock you car and don't let people follow you in the gate, or write down and report their tag # and their car will be taken care of. This neighborhood is too sketchy (it is the city, don't expect complete security or move to the back country) and there have been break ins. Utilities are expensive, I don't know why, an apt can't use that much energy but you're locked in paying their price. Factor at least $200/mo utilities. Don't bother with Corner Tavern, terrible service and somehow they always find a reason to add gratuity for an over priced, rude experience, even with take out. Choose a quiet apartment location. And two beautiful words, valet trash. more
