Yesterday, I posted a hasty review fueled by anger immediately after my experience. Now that I am calm and collected, I will post the facts and you can decide for yourself. Yes, they are a friendly staff. Does that necessarily mean they are good mechanics? I went in last year to have my timing belt, water pump and seals replaced. Not a cheap procedure (especially if you?re a student/waitress) but a necessary one when a Honda hits 100,000 miles. Months after the visit, I had to have my car worked on while out of town and the Honda dealership that worked on my car detected an oil leak from the crank seal. I looked at my paperwork and it was listed as a seal they had replaced. When I took it back they were nice and ?fixed? it under warranty and told me they always stand behind their work as I left the shop. One month and one week later, my check engine light came on and I checked my oil only to discover it was bone dry. I looked in the driveway where I had been parked for about an hour and found an oil spot six inches in diameter and later found large oil slicks in my usual parking spaces elsewhere (work, boyfriend?s house and home). When I went to them the next day and explained the leak was worse, they looked at it and said there?s definitely a bad leak but they refused to take it all apart again unless they received further payment. They were the last mechanics to touch my car FOR an oil leak and now the oil leak is so bad I will have to check it and top it off daily until I can afford to pay to get it repaired properly. I?m just glad my engine didn?t lock up and become an even bigger problem (thanks to my check engine light). Bottom line is, I paid them to do a job, and they botched it, said they fixed the botch only to have botched it worse then refused to correct the mistake. Maybe they can change oil, but I wouldn?t trust them with any large maintenance issues.
