My husband made reservations for us to visit Bynums on Valentines Day weekend. After driving 45 minutes, we arrived on time for our 7:15 reservation. When we ordered our prime rib we were told they were out...what? A prime rib steak house and your out at 7:15? I was told that we should've ""reserved"" our prime rib when we made reservations. I've never been told I had to ""reserve"" food when I make a reservation. Why didn't someone tell us when we called that we were supposed to ""reserve"" our prime rib?
So, my husband and I both ordered the steak and shrimp...medium. When it arrived I got a glorified hockey puck with four pieces of shrimp. The steak was about the quality of a Walmart steak. It was not good at all. This was a $27 meal.
We spoke to the manager who deducted the price of just my steak and our bottle of wine from the bill. He told us next time to make sure we ""reserve"" our prime rib.
To me this was like going to Kentucky Fried Chicken and they tell you they have no chicken. I won't need to ""reserve"" my prime because I won't be going back.
