I am new to the area and have been looking desperately for a bakery that does custom cakes for children. I saw Edible Art of Charlotte online and despite all of the bad reviews I still took a chance at purchasing a cake for my son's birthday. Please, please, please take the reviews posted on this site into consideration; I wish I would have. The cake was soooo ugly and cheap looking. It looked like my daughter made it with her Easy Bake Oven and they wanted to charge me $120.00. I refused to pay for it or even take it home. The lady at the bakery did allow me to take the cake without paying the remaining balance. So I took it to Harris Teeter, where they made it look a little better for the party. We served the cake to the guest and it was soooo NASTY! The cake was sooooo DRY and it tasted like it was not done; just like the reviews stated. This bakery needs to go out of business. Please take these reviews into consideration. I never write reviews, but took the time because I do not want anyone to have a party that was ruined like I did.
