My dog ended up suffering a pancreatitus attack while in the care of my parents. My parents took her to another well known animal hospital facility (chain) that looked my dog over and released her without being barely able to walk; and even stating that they felt she had pancreatitus as her blood was fatty. They didn't check her glucose in house, and instead insisted on sending out extensive blood work; and NOT hospitalizing her. My parents brought my dog to me shaking/trembling, and unable to walk, and slumped over in my kitchen! I called the other animal hospital and they insisted she simply needed to eat something and have some meds. I told them nothing about my dog stated she wanted to eat and I was fearful she was slipping away! Needless to say I scooped her up and took her to the Veterinary Emergency Services on John R.
