Several years ago, I contracted with Mossman Brothers to rebuild my pool and add a spa. The design work went very well, but the construction phase was a mess. The first delay came when the contractors (Mossman itself does not do construction) built the walls of the spa too low for the plumbing. Next, the contractors dropped construction materials into the in-floor vacuum system, so that the pool didn't clean properly. For a long time, Mossman maintained that inefficient cleaning system was a pre-existing condition, and not the fault of the workers. When the company finally admitted that their contractors had caused the problem, it tried to fix it by pumping acid into the pipes. That worked, but in the process, the acid destroyed the new Pebble Sheen surfacing at the bottom of the pool, Again, the company initially denied that there was a problem. Mossman insisted that the debris at the pool bottom was algae. After Mossman's investigator came out to look at the pool, it was decided that the entire pool needed to be resurfaced. However, Mossman demanded that I make the final payment on the project before it would authorize the workers to begin jackhammering the Pebble Sheen that they had just installed, In between these episodes, a wooden gate was destroyed, and the wrong color decking was installed. Avoid Mossman Brothers!
