I live near the Drexel. The location is great. Oakley is a great neighborhood except for the Drexel. The staff is rude and inconsiderate of the neighborhood. They recently hosted an outdoor party with a live band. Several neighbors asked that the volume be turned down and the manager on duty refused. Yes, they are free to have parties but is it necessary to blast the entire neighborhood? Can't you party with slightly less noise??
First, I tried to call, got an answering machine with the message, ""for noise or other disturbances, press 4 to speak to a courtesy officer."" The courtesy officer was anything but courteous and basically informed me they can be as loud as they want until 11p.m.
If you want to move to Oakley, there are plenty of other wonderful, and probably cheaper rental units available. Most of the people in this neighborhood are considerate and friendly. The Drexel seems to be the exception.
