Like the previous reviews, we went to La Hacienda because we saw it on Throwdown with Bobby Flay on the Food Network. We went January 9, 2010. I wanted to go for the Puffy Tacos. We drove there from Houston.The first thing I ordered was a Pina Colada. I tasted no rum at all,and I rarely drink but ordered it to get me in the mood for the anticipated dinner. Then the waiter brought out the nacho chips and salsa. The salsa was runny,and had no flavor. I've had better salsa at Kroger! The nacho chips tasted store-bought and they heated them under a heat lamp. We ordered the Puffy Taco dinner.They were a major disappointment. I had the ground beef and my friend had the chicken. Both were totally bland. The refried beans,tasted like they came straight out of a can. Didn't spent much time on the rice either! My friend ask for lime wedges so we could give it some flavor;didn't help. Like previous reviews, yes it's overpriced. If this restaurant won against the famous Bobby Flay, it makes me wonder how good he is.
