The owner of this business is a decent guy. Always provided honest service at affordable rates. However, when his employees are left alone to run the shop things start to get scary.
One day while having my car inspected an employee scraped my front bumper while driving the car onto a lift. My car is average height and that could have been avoided, but I forgave them since it wasn't too noticeable.
However, a few months later I brought the car in again when I was having an issue with my steering. I explained the problem and two employees took the car for a test drive. They also put the car on a lift and inspected it thoroughly. I was quoted $450 - $500 for a new r ack and pinion.
I brought the car to another shop for a second opinion and learned Mc-fer's employees were trying to pull a fast one. The issue was with my tie rod ends, a $40 part which is easy to replace -- not the full r ack and pinion, which coincidentally, comes with new tie rod ends. Apparently, this is a common scheme.
I saved $400 by going to another shop and my steering is like new. Go figure.
Pros: Convenient Location
Cons: Shady Employees
