My husband was sick and I stayed with him at the hospital. I needed to kennel my two dogs. After calling around,the animal medical center in Van Nuys said that the could board my two family members (Thumper had Diabetes and was on insulin) for an extended period of time. When I arrived the first thing the very rude upfront staff said was that I had to pay for two weeks in advance. After explaining that no one had told this to me they insisted or they would send me away. Because my husband was going in for cancer surgery I felt I had no choice. After leaving A detailed letter about the care, feeding and medications that were to be given they told me their would be an extra charge. Being retired and on a fixed income I was shocked but agreed to the extra fees.\r
