I was so excited for Oddfellows to open. Capitol Hill needs establishments with better food and Vol. Park cafe is great. I wasn't expecting much, it's comfort food for the love of all things holy. No matter how many chances I give Oddfellows, the food is no good. The environment, very comfortable but the grub is ghastly. The panzanella salad is always way overdressed and tomatoes are not in season. The pulled pork sandwich is on a bun from Arby's and the meat and coleslaw is bland. The strata is dry and plain and I love strata! I tried to eat it between a side of bacon and strangely enough the bacon was flavorless! How can this be? \r
I will say, I love the cookies and Stumptown coffee but you've got to wait in line forever to get it. Oddfellows, you've got potential, I know you can do better!
