We haven't been to MCG in a couple of years, so maybe things have been changing for a while, but we could not be more disappointed. The place used to have more ambiance, but now you mainly notice the significant water damage to the ceiling tiles and walls. The men's restroom was really grimy, looking like it hadn't been cleaned since the original Cinco de Mayo in 1862. The women's restroom had severe water damage, with noticeable and widespread water damage on the walls. There is also a hole in the floor so large that you can see the dirt from the ground underneath the restaurant. What is most disconcerting is that the bathroom is right next to the kitchen, making the food pretty suspect in our minds....\r
And as for the food, it was not at all what we remembered from years gone by. They used to have very good and flavorFUL food. We ordered enchiladas and carnitas, but I've had better flavor at Moes or Willys... and for much less. \r
I'm hoping MCG had a bad night, but it will be many more nights before we return.
Pros: Chips & guac were good
Cons: Ambiance, food, cleanliness
