I was visiting the Cape on a girl?s weekend and we made reservations at The Port because we had dinner there last year and really enjoyed our visit. This year, the food was still fabulous, but I will not say that about the hostess staff or 'manager' as she liked to call herself. Our reservations were for 7:30, and we were immediately seated at the soul bar table in the restaurant. There was a LARGE TV hanging over our heads and because of the noise, even that early in the evening, we asked to be moved. We got attitude immediately, and were told that we could wait another hour / hour 1/2 or leave....yup - we were told we could leave. We asked that in the very least the TV was turned off, and that was just not possible (please note that they had no 'game' on, it was just updates). Though the food was great, the rudeness of the hostess staff was HORRIBLE and I will not be coming back. The five of us easily spent $350 on a meal, and I won't go back to have a horrible experience like that again. My suggestion is to take your business else where too!! Pros: Food was excellent and the waitress did a good job Cons: Non-accommodating and tried to make the bar extra space....even when we had a reservation! more
