I just went to Priority Toyota on S. Military Highway in Chesapeake, VA to get my state inspections today. They told me that my window motor needed to be replaced for $480.00, my emergency brake needed to be replaced for $59.95, and that my window wiper blades needed to be replaced for $38.00! The only reason I felt suspicious about all this was because I had an estimate on replacing the window motor (at a Toyota dealership in another state) for $220.00 less than a year ago. Luckily I had the foresight to shop around and declined to have Priority Toyota do these repairs at these outragous prices. Later on, I found the window motor in stock at AutoZone for $62.99, and the wiper blades for less than $12.00. Then I called around some local auto shops to get estimates for installation and was quoted a labor price anywhere from $75.00-$120.00. The auto shop I did go through also reinspected my vehicle and never found any problems with my emergency brake. I won't mention the name of this shop because the owner told me that he has had many customers tell him about Priority's gratuitous and overly exagerated recommendations--because they stand to make a lot of money off of the people who are under pressure to pass inspections. I hope everyone reads this and stays well away from this company.....the bottom line is, this is why your mama tells you to shop around.
Pros: very polite, nice customer lounge, no lines
Cons: outrageous prices on parts and service
