My father-in-law recently died and we went to Higgins Funeral Home because they are the only funeral home in New City. On their sign it says they are a "dignity" funeral home. Well, they have no dignity when it comes to prices. They charged us $600 to drive about 5 miles to the hospital to pickup my poor father-in-law. The cemetery was also only about 3 miles away and they charged us almost $800 for a hearse to take him to the cemetery. I later learned a friend of our used another funeral home a couple of miles away and paid half of what we did. Not only that, the entire staff was very cold and commercial. Very business like and non-caring at all.
