They need to get rid of the marketing companies 7/22/2008

This used to be a fantastic place for a concert until they started allowing a certain marketing company to reserve the area directly in front of the stage. Many concert goers, including myself, are more than willing to sit in line for hours to get a front row seat, only to find out that the front row, and their entire view of the performers is totally blocked by the marketing company's employees, most of whom are heavily under the influence of alcohol, and are etremely rude, and obnoxious! They will deliberately stand in front of someone who is shorter than they are, and laugh at them! I realize that the city of Vancouver receives a large sum of money from this company to reserve at least half of the park, but, I don't think that they should be given the right to take up the first ten feet in front of the stage. That should belong to the fans who've waited so patiently in line! Pros: Inexpensive parking nearby, easy handicapped access, flat terrain. Cons: Allowing companies to BUY their way into the front rows more
