Went to Strip House with 4 other friends for our periodic guys night out steak dinner. We've been to just about every steakhouse in Manhattan over the last 10 years. I used to love the Strip House, the steak is good, if not the best, and the atmosphere is nice. Here's the problem - 4/5 of us were on time for our reservation. They refused to seat us until the fifth arrived - we even offered to get his order by phone so it will not hold up the ordering. We wait at the bar for 45 minutes until we are all there - then they tell us that it will be another 20 minutes for a table to open up - even though there are 2 empty tables right in front of us! 20 minutes turn into 45, so we are standing at the bar for a total of ONE AND A HALF HOURS! Not even an offer of a round of drinks! I told the manager that there are a lot of steakhouses in NY and he just lost 5 customers forever and his response - ""Well, okay"". Never been treated like this in any other steakhouse!
