While on a business trip, I had a light come on showing to check my transmission and not having any problems I thought it was just a fluke. When I reset everything and the light came on again I decided to have it looked at in Columbia, SC. I am in the automotive industry so I asked the employees in our local office if they knew a transmission repair facility locally who were good people. They referred me to Dave's on Sumter Street. I drove the car over on Wednesday early afternoon and left it so they could check it out. When they called me in about two hours they recommended they take the pan off and check a little further so I agreed. The next morning, Thursday they called and told me the bad news - metal in the pan the transmission would have to be either replaced or rebuilt. After hearing my options and the warranty information I chose to let them rebuild the transmission. The only problem was I needed the car back Friday to get back home. They started working on it Thursday around noon and Friday they called around 1pm saying the car was done and ready to go. Incredible that they were able to get the parts and have it ready for me to go home that Friday. Great people to deal with and I can't say enough about the fast service. We are getting ready to take another car to them today.
Pros: Great people great service honest and live up to what they say
Cons: Small lot for parking
