My husband and I decided to splurge and go out for dinner this last friday night. With all that is going on in the world and here in the states we wanted to be taken away from the ""real"" world just for a night. We could not have picked a better place to dine than Hall Street Grill. We have dined there many times before and felt that they would meet our expectations and they surpassed them on this occassion. We were taken back a bit by the fact that there was a wait, but we wanted to have a drink first anyway. The hostess was very nice but her wait time was not accurate. We had to wait longer than the time qouted. Which we were fine with us since our cocktail waitress was so sweet and conversational. When we were seated in the dining room we were delighted to discover some new menu options. None of our favorites were gone but there were some great sounding new items that we had to decide over. I decided to try the Pork. Was that a great delight to my taste buds. The pork was perfectly cooked and the seasonings were well balanced. Something new for me was the spetzel. What an innovative idea to round out the plate. My husband was also delighted with his choice although he was not as daring as me and went with his favorite dish. The restaurant was so warm and friendly with the staff buzzing around with smiles. The experience was refreshing and exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend Hall Street to anyone wanting to be taken away for a few hours.
