\r \r Given all I've heard about this place, and the ""we're back"" ad they ran in the Observer this week, I really expected more from this place. The hushpuppies were good, but nothing to write home about.\r \r I ordered the Captain's Platter, since I'd never been and wanted to try it all. First off, what the heck is this strip of chicken breast on my plate. At a bbq restaurant, when people order chicken, they expect fried chicken, not chicken tenders. The shrimp was obviously frozen and pretty flavorless. The BBQ was ok but needed vinegar and Texas Pete to give it any flavor. The catfish was probably the best part of the meal. The fries were bland and boring, the kind you'd find for $1.99 in the frozen food aisle of IGA. Coleslaw was ok. Also, using tea concentrate, as I'm convinced they do, is a disgrace to Southern cuisine.\r \r At $8.99 a plate for this subpar Southern cooking, I'll take my money elsewhere. Sandpiper, to be specific.\r Cons: subpar food for the price, avg. service, fake tea more
