I love Samurai Sushi Boat! I used to live in Oakland and I went there at least once every couple of weeks. There aren't that many places with actual sushi boats anymore so that is one great thing. The sushi is fresh and delicious, there is a good variety of sashimi, sushi, appetizers, etc. that come around on the boat so you don't need to order additional stuff. Miso soup is free with your meal and they also bring you hot towels before you eat. The staff are very friendly, maybe a little slow. You can also win prizes there on Fri. and Sat. night, if you get a sticker on the bottom of your sushi plate - and win free beer, saki, and ice cream. There is always cheesy soft rock playing but it is part of the atmosphere. It is definitely not your trendy sushi place, but it is reasonably priced and always a good time. They also have a great birthday song!
