Not a compasionate vet 6/13/2007

We brought our 14 year old very sick dog in to Highland Animal Hospital. When we called Monday morning we were told to bring him in right away and the vet would fit him in. We arrived at the vet and were told the vet was busy and the dog would have to wait in hospital wing by himself in a cage. The vet would call us when he could see him. 2 hours later and no word from the vet we called him and were told very abruptly that our dog of 14 years had died by himself in a cage. When the vet finally got around to seeing him he was dead. Our dog should have been seen right away and put out of his misery. We also just recently learned that we would need to pay the vet $40.00 on top of disposal fees for the priveledge of allowing our dog to die in his cage. If you are looking for A COMPASIONATE vet this is not the place to go. more
