I have been to Texas Land and Cattle in Houston several times; however, this location was just average. They cook all their steaks one level or more below what you ask for. I ordered the TXLC Signature Smoked Sirloin at lunch medium rare, and my steak came out EXTREMELY bloody and cold. I'm not talking like it was warm at one point, I'm talking it was refrigerator cold. I have had this same cut at one of the Houston locations and was very pleased--this location was not very good. I choked down a piece of it, and I would have sent it back, except that everyone else was finished eating. So, I took it home, tossed it in my skillet, and cooked it to a medium rare myself. The one major plus is their delicious spicy caesar salad. That's my FAVOURITE! Also, I can appreciate a friendly waiter, but this guy was a little slow on the uptake and a little too chummy for the type of restaurant TXLC is.
Pros: Awesome spicy caesar!
Cons: WAYYY undercooked steaks.
