I went in for a basic facial, which costs $100 and is an hour long. Much like all the other users on citysearch, I no sooner sat down when I was pressured into upgrading to the seaweed facial which was "suited more toward my skin type". I asked how it would work for my skin type and wasn't offered much of an explanation except that I don't get facials often so it would be better for me. Then I asked how much it was- it's $185 dollars. I stuck with the basic one and she backed off. It was fine but mostly involved the woman out of the room while whatever she put on my face soaked in. Then at the end I was pressured to buy two products costing over $100 which the facialist left at the front desk for me so that it would be awkward to say no. I did anyway and will return to going to Oasis which never tries to upsell or pressure you into buying anything. Also the sauna and steamroom were out of order at the 57th St. location which was really dissapointing. A spa treatment is supposed to be relaxing and this was just too much hassle.
Pros: nice products
Cons: sales pressure, no sauna, no steamroom, uncaring front desk
