I took my dog to the Advanced Animal Care Clinic hoping to see the male vet that I had been told of when I called to ask some questions about the clinic. Instead we saw a young female veterinarian who could not have been out vet school for more than a couple of years. She had no clue as to the breed of my dog. He is a Great Pyrenees/Golden retriever mix. Although he's a mixed breed, he's clearly half great Pyrenees - which should have been obvious to a vet. In addition I also asked her to estimate how old he was. Her best answer was between 3-6 years old. That's a big range if you ask me! His current vet (as well as the vet he had while in the shelter) estimates that he is around 1.5-2 years old. On a positive note this vet (as well as the staff) was very nice and very professional. I just don't think she has enough experience to be practicing on her own yet. I now take my dog to the Bedford Oaks Animal Clinic - which I highly recommend.
