I was there last Thursday. The place was pretty empty for 8:30pm and that's too bad because the food is amazing. O Mai on 9th was the only delicious Vietnamese in the neighborhood until now and that place is always packed with a wait so it's nice to have another choice. I went next door to buy a bottle of wine from the liquor store and talked to one of the guys working there. He said he hasn't been selling too many more bottles since Safran opened because it doesn't get too busy. The secret won't last forever so try it soon. Also, it's not like you have so many great restaurant choices on 7th Ave around the area so why not give your business to the newby's who are actually interested in whether what they serve tastes good.
